Wing Shya

Wing Shya is a celebrated Hong Kong filmmaker, designer and photographer. His work traverses the domains of fashion, film and art. After studying at Emily Carr Institute in Canada, Wing returned to Hong Kong in 1996 and set up the award-winning design studio, Shya-la-la Workshop. Wing Shya has worked as the graphic designer and photographer for the renowned movie director, Wong Kar-Wai on the films Happy Together, In the Mood for Love, Eros and 2046. Wing Shya is also the director of the acclaimed feature films Hot Summer Days (2010) and its sequel, Love in Space (2011). Wing constantly pushes and blurs the boundaries between film and photography by exploring the poetic and emotional aspects of both media.

In The 14th Factory, Wing Shya is the director and cinematographer of The Inhumans video, in collaboration with Simon Birch.
